season four of "my hero academia" comes out in less than two months (huzzah!) and i could not be any more excited! i am entirely glad i caught up on each and every episode of that anime (including the "two heroes" movie). there is also a new movie coming out this december, which i am also excited for!
my opinions/ratings on each season:
- season 1: it was introductory for the first half. there were a couple of action scenes and i will not lie, it was a little bit boring, but that is sort of expected at this point. did i like the opening? no, but that is just my opinion. my favorite part of that season was definitely the hero training and the first encounter with the league of villains. i thought this season was okay/sort of decent. i would rate this a 6.5 out of 10.
- season 2: it was an emotional rollercoaster, especially during the sports festival and hero killer stain's fight against iida, todoroki, and deku. both openings are my personal favorite "my hero academia" openings, especially "sora ni utaeba." i got to know a couple of characters a bit better, especially shoto todoroki, who is my favorite male character from the show. sadly, shinsou did not get enough time on screen, but he is wonderful to say the least. todoroki's backstory did make me cry because i felt really bad for him and i don't like how his father treated him and his mother as a child. overall, this season has to be one of my favorite seasons of "my hero academia." i would rate this a 10 out of 10.
- "two heroes" movie: i LOVED this movie beyond words. the setting and the plot felt pretty different from your average "my hero academia" episode, which adds more detail and a little bit more context to the story as a whole. in my opinion, melissa is a very lovable character from the beginning just because she is an extremely positive person. i absolutely loved the action scenes, although the twist in the middle was absolutely unnecessary. the last fight was EVERYTHING. i loved how all might and deku collided whilst using one for all to defeat the villain. it is safe to say that all might is like a father figure to deku. my rating of this movie is a 9 out of 10.
- season 3: what can i say? there were so many twists and cliffhangers in this season that just grabbed my attention to say the least. so many new characters were introduced in this season. my personal favorite villain has to be dabi, simply because he's attractive, his quirk is awesome, and i can relate to him in a sense that i lose faith in society and i cannot trust people too easily. deku improves with his quirk (like pretty much everyone else), bakugou shows us his weak side, and the provisional license exam period was excellent. this season, as a whole, was an emotional rollercoaster in of itself due to the events occurring in the season. i thought it was a great idea to introduce the big three since they are very vital characters to the show. could they have been introduced earlier? yes, but i'm glad i got to know who they are anyway. my rating of this season is a 9.5 out of 10.
my overall rating of the anime (so far) is an 8.75 out of 10. do i recommend this anime for other people to watch? HELL YES! it is my favorite anime of all time. it's not like your average shonen anime, but it has a wonderful story, extravagant characters, and the series as a whole is FANTASTIC! sadly, there are toxic fans and i highly advise avoiding those people at all costs since majority of the fandom is not like that at all.

i don't like riverdale :/
hi everyone,
a question i will get asked pretty much, idk frequently, is "hey malu, why don't you like riverdale?". i thought i'd sit down & do some proper research as to why i dislike riverdale.
when the trailer for riverdale first came out, the creators try to make it different from every american teen high school drama, however, as i watched the previews on itunes, i really felt it was another generic high school drama. nothing stood out to me, it wasn't appealing to me.. i really felt it was just another generic teen drama show, but they just throw in archie??
the creator said that we should not even expect the show to be like the comics since he wasn't a fan of the material whatsoever.. i ask on a daily, WHAT WAS THE WHOLE FREAKIN' POINT OF ADAPTING THE COMICS THEN???? that, to me was totally unfair & really just made me upset. i will admit that i enjoyed some scenes, but overall, i literally just wanted to stop watching it. i did, however, try to give it a chance by the end of each episode preview, but i really don't like the show.. it's like they're totally different people with the same names.
their target audience is supposed to be aimed at teenagers (could also be young adults) since they try to make it seem relatable, but you can't really relate to any one of these characters. maybe you guys can relate to the characters, however, i really cannot... i can't relate to someone trying to track down a serial killer or solve murder crimes... i just can't do it. i also can't relate to a bunch of attractive teens sitting at a diner since i don't really look like a million dollars (not that i care though...) & i can't leave my house w/o my mom's consent.. also, i don't happen to be a fan of the comics, but my mom's boyfriend happens to have heard of them & i did research on them so i know a tiny bit about the archie comics. to be honest, even if i were or to not enjoy the comics, it wouldn't change my opinion on the show in any way, shape, or form.
i won't even sit down & pretend that i hate all riverdale characters since i really like two of them, which happen to be cheryl blossom & alice cooper. i really don't care about the others (i don't care about archie, jughead, betty, veronica, etc.)...
also, i didn't find it okay that the cw took away jughead's asexuality since they could VERY EASILY make another teen drama show & i heard that the plot twist was predictable & boring, which i have yet to watch. i've watched the season 2 finale of pretty little liars where there was a plot twist from building up so much drama & let me just say, it was BORING AS HELL.

i'm back cx
hello ladies & bros,
how is everyone doing??? i missed you all so so so much!! i haven't been updating this blog in three years due to school, social media, my desk job, & my social life... i would also like to announce that i'm drifting away from fashion since it wasn't doing it for me... instead, this blog is going to focus on music, cosplay, & other media that i have come across in the past three years.. today i would like to add in a spotify recommendation, which is when i recommend songs i listen to on spotify on a daily basis.. today's spotify recommendation is a song i got into four years ago because my best friend madi balter (shoutout much??) got me into the song & i was mindblown at how amazing the song is.. it is called circles by audien (there's two versions: a radio edit & the original mix). it is a perfect summer track to jam out to, especially since it is festival/concert season!!

Update: Finals, Camp, Supercon, Anime Opening/Ending Song?!? SINGLE?!?!?
Hey guys,
I just wanted to let everybody know that I am still short on YouTube videos cause of school and my computer broke... AGAIN! Also, the boyfriend I dated from camp and I broke up because things got complicated and it's best to NOT talk about any of the events that caused the end of this relationship.. He and I dated for a year and almost two months. Anyways, it's going to be hard to believe that I'm doing something so difficult that people would think I couldn't do it.... I never give up on myself because I motivate myself to never give up on reaching my goals!!! I'm writing an opening or an ending song for an anime. I don't know what show I'm writing for, but I know it's in Japanese because a lot of anime openings and endings are in Japanese. I have two finals tomorrow and they're stressing me out, but hey, after I'm done with these finals, I'll officially have one more year of high school! (crazy, right?) Anyways, I'll be free until June 27 so I'll have plenty of time before the con day (my cosplay is STILL currently undecided) and 22 days of camp starting June 28! Here's a preview of the song:

I will update my channel!
Hey guys,
You're probably wondering why I haven't updated my blog or YouTube channel.. It's because I am SUPER busy with academics and my athletic career. Also, I have benchmark testing this week for three subjects: reading, geometry, and biology (sad face). It hurts me because I won't be able to upload until like Friday, but hopefully I'll get to it today. I also want to tell you I am getting my cartilage pierced for my 17th birthday (yay)! Boyfriend? I think so!!
During camp I met a boy I liked and started dating him the same day, which was the 28th of June. Ever since then, we would always have dates and I DO MEAN ALWAYS!! He also has a YouTube channel, but his channel focuses on stop motion animation with Legos! I really loved Legos as a kid and I thought it would be interesting to see my boyfriend's YouTube videos! Our 2 month anniversary has passed and hope to celebrate my 3 month anniversary hours before homecoming!
