Why is Makeup Important?

My friend came over today and really liked my makeup.  I learned from a YouTube Makeup artist named Michelle Phan (rice bunny).  She is a professional with makeup.  Sometimes, I like to go natural and sometimes I like to go "dark".  When I go dark, I use dark makeup like black eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadows, eyebrow makeup, and nail polish.  When I change my look with makeup, sometimes I feel like my personality changes.  It's fun to change looks.  Makeup is an integral part of fashion.  Makeup completes the look of different outfits.  As a designer, I personally want to wear makeup.  It helps me to feel special because I spent time on myself and I feel more confident.

Too many girls are wearing WAYYY too much makeup for school.  Like, for example, they make their looks too harsh.  There are girls of all ages who do this.  One example of this is when they put so much makeup on that it gets smudged and they look like raccoons!  I try not to do that; I try to use only a little bit of makeup at a time.  If you live in a humid climate like me, or have oily skin, you should use waterproof mascara on your bottom lashes.  That helps the raccoon problem!  You don't always need to wear makeup...people wear makeup just to feel accepted sometimes.  You don't need makeup to be accepted.  Unfortunately, a lot of times, people just judge you by your looks.  Like, when you wear glasses, people could call you "four eyes"....or bug eyes.  People should really think before speaking.  I would want to be judged by how my heart is on the inside.  Makeup is a great tool for fashion, but it is most important to have a beautiful inside.

Here is one of my favorites, Mascara 101:

First Days Are SCARY!

On Monday, I started high school for the first time.  Expect the unexpected when you're starting a new school, because you could get lost!  I got lost on the first day...school is SO big.  A good thing is that I'm in class with a lot of my friends.  I made new friends, too.  This year, there are no evil bullies in my class (or, at least they don't seem to be in my classes).  So far, my favorite classes are math and health/pe.  They are the easiest for me.  One good thing is that in middle school, you have to eat always in the cafeteria.  Now, I eat in the courtyard, outside where it's hot but beautiful.  In the next four years, I want to get my permit sooner than expected, make more friends, socialize more, and go through all the levels of cheerleading (in Allstars, not at school).  I want to go to Homecoming, Prom, maybe a football game, have a boyfriend (he'll call me, maybe!), do Drama, and maybe join the swimming team.

Run away.... Runway!!!

Last week I went to 3 runway shows with 2 of my friends and my stepmom. I don't remember what days they were on but I had fun. If you check out http://www.coisaschris.com/, you would not believe your eyes because she writes amazing blogs. It SHOULD be checked out because whoever writes it is my stepmom. I went to a Japanese restaurant and club after the third runway show. Steak and fries were my favorite so I picked it and I tried a virgin piña colada for the first time ever. It didn't have coconut juice because I don't like coconuts. Theres a picture of the piña colada I tried with chocolate syrup.
