So this week, I have taken and am taking a state test called the FCAT...which, to me, stands for "Florida Child Abuse Test". It's really the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test...but it's like torture to me! I could also call it the "Florida Children Are Tortured" test...that would work, too. Next year, I will have to take Algebra One end of course test (EOC). I guess I'm looking forward to that. I guess state tests must be very hard for certain people. It's challenging for me, but not as challenging as when I was in 6th and 7th grade. I have always been proficient in math, and not reading. This year, I am hoping to change that. There's going to be a test for 48 states called the PARCC coming in the next couple of years. It will replace the FCAT and other state tests. I think it's very interesting. For example, I have a friend in New York and I'm in Illinois, we'd take the same test and would be learning the same things. I think it's a good idea for everyone to learn the same things.
